Privacy Policy
Effective June 14, 2026
Who we are
Eraze (“Eraze,” “we,” “us”) helps you find and remove your personal information from data brokers and people-search websites, and alerts you when those companies fail to honor removal requests required by state privacy laws. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: support@eraze.io.
Information we collect
To scan for and request removal of your data, you provide identity and contact details: your name and any aliases, postal addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and optionally date of birth. We also collect your account email and a securely hashed password, and — if you subscribe — billing details processed by our payment provider. We generate scan results, removal-request records, and related activity logs tied to your account.
How we use your information
We use the identity details you provide solely to search data-broker sites for matching records and to submit opt-out / deletion requests on your behalf, to track those requests against legal deadlines, to notify you (e.g., scan complete, violation detected), and to operate and secure your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we share information
We share the minimum necessary information with data brokers and people-search sites for the express purpose of removing your data from them. We use service providers to run the product — payment processing (Stripe), transactional email (Resend), cloud hosting, and evidence storage — who process data on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not otherwise share your data.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and maintain evidence of removal requests and violations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@eraze.io.
Security
Personal information is encrypted in transit and at rest, passwords are hashed, and access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the CCPA/CPRA and other state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@eraze.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
